ABOUT US
 
Owner and Pharmacist Tom Hodel was born and raised in International Falls, Minn. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Pharmacy in 1975. Shortly thereafter, he and his wife Lyn moved to Alaska and settled in Soldotna in January 1977. Tom worked for Soldotna Drug until its closing - then started the Pharmacy Department at Central Peninsula General Hospital in the early 80's. In April of 1984 - Soldotna Professional Pharmacy become a reality. The business has grown over the years and in December of 2002 moved to its present location in a spacious new building.

In 1987 Tom received the "Bowl of Hygeia" award and the "Bristol Award in Pharmacy" in 1991.

Tom and his wife Lyn have 2 children - Kimberly and Chris, and when not in the pharmacy, he can usually be found on the Kenai River or Kachemak Bay.


James Henderson Although born in Hawaii, James was raised in Idaho and Utah. He grew up in a small town and loves small towns. He graduated from the University of Utah School of Pharmacy in Salt Lake City in 1995. James has practiced in community pharmacy since then. He enjoys serving people and helping them in their health needs. He is trained to give immunizations as well as compound medications. James, his wife lisa, and their six children made the trek to Alaska in January of 2007 to work for Tom. They had another child that month in Soldotna, and have enjoyed living and working in Alaska ever since.

Molly Hull was born in Glencoe, Minnesota, but was raised in Kenai, Alaska, where she attended and graduated high school. She later attended Boise State University for two years until she transferred to the University of Colorado at Boulder. There she attained her Bachelor of Pharmacy in 1990 and returned to Alaska shortly after. She has been practicing pharmacy in Alaska ever since, and plans to raise her two children on the Kenai Peninsula with her husband.

Justin Ruffridge  Justin was born in Council, Idaho and moved to Alaska with his family in 1994. He was accepted into the Washington State University Doctor of Pharmacy program in 2004 and moved to Washington where he and his wife Jessie resided until graduation in 2008. He loves being back in Alaska and being near family and friends. Soldotna Professional Pharmacy is a great family atmosphere with many opportunities to apply the different avenues of practice (compounding, immunizations, and much more). When not at work he enjoys being involved in church, golfing, fishing and our community theater.

Jolene Parsons was born and raised in Conroe, Texas. She graduated from the University of Memphis in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 2006, she received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Iowa and has been a pharmacist in a retail pharmacy since graduation. Jolene also has 11 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician/Intern. When not working at the pharmacy, Jolene loves being outdoors enjoying most outdoor activities and is an avid animal lover. She also enjoys fishing, hunting, camping, canoeing, and watching dog sledding - especially the Iditarod. During the fall she loves college football and cheering for her Texas A&M Aggies. Jolene loves serving her patients' healthcare needs and enjoys hearing their positive results. Jolene joined the staff of Soldotna Professional Pharmacy in February 2011 after moving to the Kenai Peninsula with her husband.
